About Adv. Sushant Singh

Sushant Singh is a litigation practitioner at the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, District Courts, specializing in service matters, human rights law, constitutional law, and social justice litigation. He holds an LL.M. in Human Rights, Conflict & Justice from SOAS, University of London, and a B.A. LL.B (Hons.) from National Law University, Delhi (NLUD).

As a student leader, he became the first Indian to be elected President of the SOAS Student Union (2022-24), where he successfully included caste as a protected category in student union policies. He is also the co-founder of the Ambedkar Periyar Phule Study Circle (APPSC) at NLUD and the SOAS Ambedkar Society in London, both of which focus on caste, identity, and social justice.

About the Opportunity

Chambers of Sushant Singh Adv. is inviting applications from dedicated law students and young professionals for its upcoming Socio-Legal Internship Programme, scheduled for July and August 2025.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to engage with real-world legal research, policy analysis, and field-oriented projects intersecting law and society. Interns will work closely on ongoing matters and projects.

Mode of Internship

Hybrid (Remote + In-person opportunities, subject to project)

Roles and Responsibilities

Legal research, drafting, fieldwork (where applicable), public -policy inputs, awareness campaigns.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Passion for social justice, equality, and rights-based work
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Prior exposure to constitutional or socio-legal issues is preferred but not mandatory.
