About the Opportunity

 Karan Gupta Law Chambers is hiring an Intern.

Eligibility

  • Currently studying law from any recognized university (3-year or 5-year law course);
  • Currently in the penultimate or final year of the degree;
  • Prior internship experience in disputes/litigation.

Responsibilities

  • Research and drafting for various dispute related matters.
  • Interns are actively encouraged to be part of meetings and take ownership of matters.

Available internship slots

  • 1 September 2025 – 25 September 2025
  • 6 October 2025 – 31 October 2025
  • 1 November 2025 – 29 November 2025
  • 1 December 2025 – 29 December 2025

Candidates can expect a response to their application four weeks before the proposed internship.

Salary

  • Stipend – above industry standard.
  • INR 6,000/- per month for students residing in Bangalore.
  • INR 6,000/- (stipend) + upto INR 6,000/- reimbursement for accommodation costs for students presently residing outside Bangalore.

Application requirements

  • CV of the candidate, not exceeding three pages;
  • A statement of interest not exceeding 300 words on motivation to practice in disputes or as a litigating lawyer; and
  • A short critique/analysis of the judgment of the Supreme Court of India in Gayatri Balasamy Vs ISG Novasoft Technologies Ltd OR M/S Neeharika Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. v. State of Maharashtra (the note must contain a very brief and precise summary of the holding, and focus on an independent analysis/critique).
