About the Programme
In fulfilment of its advocacy function under Section 49 of the Competition Act-2002 (Act), Competition Commission of India (CCI) conducts periodic focussed outreach and training programs with its vast array of stakeholders where students of Economics, Law, Management, and Finance etc. form an important subset.

CCI internship programme seeks to provide students with working of the competition law in practice. Since CCI plays a very significant role in economy as market regulator, students must get an insight into nuances and nitty-gritty of Competition Law for their future roles in different capacities. CCI internship programme recruits talent from the cream of Indian educational institutions spread across the nation.

Eligibility
Applicable to Indian Nationals only.
Internship is available for students from established Institutions and Universities exposed to Competition Law.
Students who have a placement in place are not eligible.
Students enrolled on following courses can apply,
Economics and Management : MA / MSc. (Economics), Fourth and final year students of 5 year integrated degree Programme in Economics and MBA
Law:
Second and third year of the Bachelors degree in Law (3 year course after graduation) or Fourth and final year of the five year integrated course in Law and students who have taken 3rd year exam and are entering the 4th year.
LLM
Regulatory Governance: MA / MSc. (Regulatory Governance)
Professional Courses: Students of final group of Chartered Accountancy or Cost Accountancy or Company Secretary.


How to Apply?
Interested candidates can apply in the format provided in Annexure. Application in any other form will not be accepted.Application should have recommendation of competent authority from the educational institution, where the candidate is studying her / his education. Applications without recommendations will not be accepted.
Applicants need to produce a ‘Statement of Purpose’ approximately 200 words covering a general overview of the topic and research objectives
Application should arrive on or before 1st of previous month for the month for which application is to be made e.g. for Dec, 2016 application should arrive on or before 1st Nov, 2016.
Applications in the prescribed format in all respects could be sent by post so as to reach – The Secretary, Competition Commission of India, Competition Commission of India, 10th Floor, Office Block, Tower.1, Ring Road (Opposite AIIMS) Kidwai Nagar (East), New Delhi-110023″. Applications could also be mailed at internships@cci.gov.in.
Envelope containing applications should be superscribed “Application for Internship for Month/Year”.

Stipend
A sum of Rs.15,000/-. monthly would be provided as honorarium during internship.

Duration
Internship would be for a duration of one month from the 1st working day of the month. But candidate interested in doing internship for 2-3 calendar months may also apply with proper recommendation of the respective University/College/Institution for the duration applied for.
